What a great day! Beautiful weather for a fun cruise. (Except that Dave and Ginny broke down. Members helped and they got towed back to town after lunch.)
Parkfield lies along the San Andreas Fault, one of the longest and most active faults in the United Staes, which appears in the town as a seasonally dry creek bed. The bridge goes across two plates - the North American Plate and the Pacific Plate. The bridge has a sign
announcing to drivers that they are crossing the plate boundary.
The Parkfield Cafe is a BBQ restaurant in the heart of Parkfield, which happens to have a population of 18!
Big "thank you" to Miles Hanshaw, cruise director, for putting it together
